Our Materials

Stainless steel
Stainless steel

Stainless steel is the most widely used material at Xiongqian – thanks to its excellent corrosion resistance, heat tolerance, and high strength.

We supply stainless steel for perforated sheets, wire mesh, expanded metal, and welded mesh across industries such as chemical filtration, food processing, marine engineering, and architectural facades.

Grades include 201, 304, 304L, 316L, 430, 310S, all available with material test certificates (MTC).

Copper
Copper

Copper offers excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, natural corrosion resistance, and the ability to form a protective green patina when exposed to air. Xiongqian supplies copper in perforated sheets, woven mesh, and expanded metal, with common grades including C11000, C10200, CuZn30, CuZn37.

Copper mesh is widely used for EMI/RFI shielding, architectural panels, battery electrodes, heat exchangers, and pharmaceutical filtration. Its anti-microbial properties also suit food processing and healthcare surfaces.

Brass
Brass

Brass, a copper‑zinc alloy, offers a gold appearance, good wear resistance, and superior machinability. Xiongqian supplies brass in thicknesses from 0.3 to 3.0mm with 10%–50% open area; common grades include C26000, C26200, C27000, C28000, C24000, C22000.

Brass mesh resists saltwater corrosion better than stainless steel in certain marine environments and is widely used for architectural screens, marine equipment, instrument panels, filter housings, and furniture trim.

Galvanized steel
Galvanized steel

Galvanized steel applies a zinc coating to carbon steel for economical rust protection. Xiongqian offers electro‑galvanizing (indoor/dry) and hot‑dip galvanizing (outdoor/humid).

Base grades include Q195, Q235. Products include perforated sheets, welded mesh, and expanded metal – used for highway guardrails, industrial fencing, stadium barriers, drainage covers, animal enclosures, and agricultural storage.

Nickel Alloys
Nickel Alloys

Nickel‑based alloys excel in high‑temperature and highly corrosive environments. Xiongqian supplies grades including Nickel 200, Nickel 201, Monel 400, Inconel 600, Hastelloy C276, Alloy 80A.

These materials are used for chemical filtration, aerospace gas turbine filters, nuclear reactors, pharmaceutical vessels, and high‑temperature furnace screens – resisting seawater, strong acids, and oxidation.

Carbon Steel
Carbon Steel

Carbon steel is the most cost‑effective material for industrial perforated sheets, wire mesh, and expanded metal – offering high strength and good weldability. Xiongqian common grades include Q195, Q215, Q235 and higher‑carbon wear‑resistant grades.

Applications include heavy‑duty industrial platforms, scaffold planks, machine guards, concrete reinforcement, mining screens, and agricultural equipment – the most economical choice for large projects.

Iron
Iron

Iron‑based materials refer to low‑carbon steel or wrought iron with very low carbon content (<0.08%), offering good ductility and weldability. Xiongqian supplies Q195, Q215 mild steel and ornamental wrought iron.

Uses include decorative fencing, gates, industrial grating, stair treads, sidewalk grates, machinery bases, and construction safety barriers. Galvanizing or powder coating is recommended for outdoor use.

Aluminum
Aluminum

Aluminum offers one‑third the weight of steel, natural corrosion resistance, good thermal conductivity, and excellent workability. Xiongqian supplies alloys 1050, 3003, 5052, 5056, 6061‑T6.

Available with anodizing, powder coating, or painting. Typical uses: architectural cladding, electronic heat sinks, vehicle grilles, signage, food processing equipment, aircraft components, and lightweight walkways.

Titanium
Titanium

Titanium offers a very high strength‑to‑weight ratio (exceeding steel), outstanding corrosion resistance to most acids, chlorides, and seawater, plus excellent biocompatibility. Xiongqian supplies grades TA1/Grade 1, TA2/Grade 2, TA3/Grade 3, TC4/Grade 5.

Titanium mesh and perforated sheets are used in aerospace, desalination, chemical heat exchangers, medical implants, battery electrodes, high‑temperature furnace screens, and defense applications.

Perforated Plastic

Perforated plastic sheets offer a lightweight, non‑corrosive, electrically insulating alternative to metal. Xiongqian supplies HDPE, PP, PVC, and PE in thicknesses 2–6mm with 10%–48% open area. These materials are rust‑proof, require no painting, and are easy to cut and install.

Applications include crop protection, greenhouse ventilation, light‑duty drainage, construction vapor retarders, and food‑contact surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions About Expanded Metal

Material selection depends on three factors: operating environment (humidity, corrosive media, high temperature), mechanical requirements (load, impact, hardness), and budget.

Xiongqian offers free selection advice: For outdoor humid conditions, use 316L stainless steel or hot‑dip galvanized steel; for food & pharmaceutical applications, use 304 stainless steel; for highly corrosive chemical or marine environments, use 316L stainless steel or nickel alloys (Monel / Inconel); for lightweight architectural cladding, use aluminum; for heavy‑duty platforms on a budget, use carbon steel or galvanized steel.

304 stainless steel is the general‑purpose austenitic grade (18% Cr, 8% Ni), resisting most oxidizing media and weak acids – suitable for food machinery, building facades, general chemical, and outdoor use.

316L stainless steel adds 2‑3% molybdenum (Mo), dramatically improving chloride resistance (seawater, salt spray, acid rain), and has lower carbon content (≤0.03%) to prevent intergranular corrosion after welding. For coastal projects, chemical plants, marine equipment, and desalination, 316L is recommended.

Carbon steel has no rust protection – it is strong and low‑cost but rusts easily in wet or humid conditions. It is suitable for indoor dry applications or when additional coating will be applied.

Galvanized steel applies a zinc coating over carbon steel for effective rust protection. Xiongqian offers electro‑galvanizing (thin coating, indoor dry) and hot‑dip galvanizing (thick coating, outdoor, humid, or mildly corrosive). If your product will be exposed to rain, high humidity, or outdoor environments, galvanized steel (or additional powder coating) is highly recommended.

Common aluminum grades from Xiongqian:

  • 1050: Commercially pure, high formability – for deep‑drawn parts, heat sinks, decorative trim.

  • 3003: General‑purpose, good corrosion resistance – for building facades, storage tanks, kitchenware.

  • 5052: Marine grade, saltwater resistant – for marine fittings, electronic enclosures, traffic signs.

  • 5056: High‑strength magnesium‑aluminum – for welded structures and spring components.

  • 6061-T6: Heat‑treated structural alloy – for aircraft parts, truck bodies, industrial platforms.
Anodizing or powder coating is available for enhanced surface hardness and appearance.

Yes, Xiongqian supplies perforated plastic sheets in HDPEPPPVC, and PE, thickness 2–6mm, open area 10%–48%.

These sheets are rust‑proof, non‑conductive, require no painting, and are easy to cut and install. Main applications: agricultural crop protection, greenhouse ventilation panels, light‑duty drainage filters, building vapor retarders, food‑contact surfaces (food‑grade PP), bathroom/industrial anti‑slip mats, and electronic equipment covers.
